FEATURING STORIES FROM OCTOBER 7TH AND BEYOND
At just 21 years old, Stav displayed exceptional courage on October 7 as she battled terrorists at the Home Front Command base near Urim. During the fighting, she sustained severe injuries and lost her closest friend. After a lengthy hospital recuperation she is now starting her rehabilitation with Beit Halochem.
STAV BACHER
Born in Long Island, 33-year-old Aharon immigrated to Israel as a lone soldier in 2010. Now back in the US and married, he returned to Israel immediately after October 7. While serving in Gaza as a Negev Brigade reservist, Aharon sustained serious injuries to his legs as he valiantly tried to save his commander’s life.
AHARON BOURS
Razi, an NCO in the Combat Engineering Corps, was grievously injured in Gaza. Embodying the commitment of many young Druze enlisting in Israel’s military, Razi had been recognized for his excellence only a month prior to his injury. Newly engaged, the 27-year-old is dedicated in his rehabilitation as he looks forward to life with his future bride.
RAZI HALABI
Called up to his unit on October 7, 33-year-old Mordechay served as an armourer in the 401st Brigade when he was seriously injured by an anti-tank missile. During his rehabilitation in the hospital, his passion for music, particularly playing the violin, supported his recovery while providing comfort and entertainment for his fellow patients.
